Your needed.

You might not realize it but somebody is depending on you.

You play a bigger role in life than you think.

They wake up daily just to notice you.

You give their life depth.

They admire your strength.

Your charisma motivates them.

They admire your dedication.

They praise your convection.

So the next time your feeling that you have no purpose in life or that your life is insignificant

Just remember your always being watched.

Your deeds or not going unseen.

Somebody notices you.

You are their vision of self esteem.

The power is lying deep within you.

You must believe it.

The world requires your unique  gifts.

You are needed.

Think

Was it all that serious?

Was it really worth it?

Did you prove your point?

Do you feel strong now?

Were they really that big of  a threat to you?

You let your anger over take you and their no more.

No longer here.

Gone.

Removed from this plane.

A lifeless corpse.

Eyes open.

 Motionless.

Blood stained.

Stiff.

Laying on the ground lifeless.

Do know life is priceless.

Once its it gone its gone.

No do overs.

No repeats.

Game over.

No reset button.

Delete.

Weigh your options before you squeeze that trigger.

See your them dead.

Play the scenario out fully inside you head.

Think about your loved ones.

Think their loved ones.

Think about prison sentence.

Think about alternatives.

Think out about every possible outcome before
you go off half cocked and grab your gun.

Life can be long and blissful or over in one blink.

Stop.

Be still.

Breathe before you react.

Think.

Why we need poets

Poets are the world's best civil servants.

Poets provide a service to mankind.

Poets identity with emotion and illuminate the mind.

A poet can tare down a barrier with their words or their pen.

A poet can speak to that kindred spirit within.

A poet can make the darkness fade.

A poet plays mental ballads of sovereignty for inert souls.

Poets overstand the things that need to be understood.

Poets are healers.

Poet are motivators.

Poets are mood elevators.

Poets are the champions of social outcasts and miscreants.

Poets are the universe's un- deaf ears.
Poets are art transcended.
Life is art.
Nature is poetry.
The world needs poets to tell the tale life.

Love life every day

Don't wait until the end draws near to let a person know how much they are needed here.

Don't wait until the life force drains from a loved one's veins to tell them to hold on and be strong.

Don't let another day pass without taking the opportunity to make someone smile.

Don't wait until a landscape erodes to reflect on the enchanted bliss that once bloomed fruitfully.

Don't ponder so long about what could go wrong if you take the first step.

Don't spend the rest of your days being afraid.

Tell that special someone how you feel about them today.

Give the world your gift.

Give your dreams your best effort.

Give your vision your all.

Gaze at sunsets.

Visit your paradise escape.

Live all the life you can today

Because tommorow might be too late.

my blackness

My blackness runs deeper than ocean trenches.

My blackness beats like shametic drums.

My blankness is defiant.

It never runs.

My blackness is symbolic like kemitic signs.

My blackness is brilliant.

My blackness is resilient.

My blackness.

My blackness is the very epicenter for passion.

My blackness exudes pride.

My blackness is conciousness personified.

My blackness is strength....amplified.

My blackness is Afrodsiatic.

My blackness is melenated magic.

My blackness is all.

My blackness is everything that ever was and everything that shall be.

My blackness is magnificent.

My blackness is the universe.

My blackness is me.

Labled

You want to look fly.

You want to look fresh.

You want the world to know you love to dress in excess.

You want to stay dipped in designer.

You want be the best you that you can afford.

(or even if you can't afford it)

Name brands only.

You don't feel like a king/ queen if all of your labels don't match and say the exact same thing.

You want to color c-oooooordinate.

You want to match all the way down to the socks.

You want to hear those brand new bags crumpling.

You want to hear the sound the tags make when they pop.

It's your money.

It's your time.

You can spend both of them any way you wish.

I just want to know a few things.

How far will you go to obtain it?

How many family functions will miss out on to peruse those brands?

How many entire evenings will  you stay up  clocking?

How strange will you act for some change?

Where do you draw the line?

Can you look at yourself in the mirror after you cash out?

Are your designer labels the only thing you want your cash to be about?

Do feel good about yourself even if your not freshly pressed?

Will everyone in your circle still be there for you if didn't stay fresh to death?

Would they still respect you if you didn't wear designer?

Do you do it for you or are you trying to impress?

It's your money.

It's your time.

You can spend both of them any way that you wish.

I just wanted to know how far you would go.

How much integrity are you willing to sacrifice j in order to look high priced.

If those labels bring you that much joy then please by all means do you.

I just hope that those labels don't define you.

Soulsational

I'm young but I'm an old soul.

I love all types of music but I have an affinity for that old soul.

As I'm listening to those smooth groves I feel like I'm going back in time.

So I close  my eyes so that I can picture the melody of the sultry pioneers of the Motown sound.

James brown soul brotha number 1 getting down.

Marvin Gaye let know what's going on.

The Jackson five taught me my ABC's.

Smokey Robinson was smooth but wasn't afraid to cry the tears of a clown while cruising the scene.

Stevie Wonder's talent would never bore you.

There wasn't a Mountain high enough to stop MS Diana Ross.

Gladness Knight made you want be on the platform waiting to see her before she left on that midnight train to Georgia.

The quality of the music back then was so impactful.

You hear the passion in every note being sang.
You could feel the intensity from all instruments being played.

Those artist  made you forget  your troubles and remind you about the splendors of life.

The Motown sound really stirred the soul.

I guess that's why they call it soul music.

They tore down social barriers and changed the world with their art form.

Artist from golden era of Motown will forever be cherished.

Each individual singer and each singing  group ld a special place in someone's heart.

They were motivational.

They were sensational.

If I had to call their style  anything.... I'd call it soulsatioanl
