The request.
Midnight moon./
Stars lit up./
A perfect evening for a stroll/
{ I would love that}
Just picture the scene of a black man being able to walk around freely without being considered a moving target or viewed as threat./
Just once I'd like to get on an elevator without a white woman clutching her purse or covering up her cleavage./
{ I would love that}
Can we have an open dialogue with yelling and name calling./
Can our kids visit the suburbs and come back to us in one piece./
{I would love that}
Can you please take the time study the artist's pain before you greet them with hostility and media shame /
{ I would love that}
Can I see a picture of this person whose description I match./
Can we be allowed to gather peacefully in a public space without the law being called us./
Damn!
Can I listen to my music.
hip-hop's not cause. It's the cure.
